Last Wednesday, March 10, the teams in Group D of AL ABTAL INTERNATIONAL CUP met at La Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, Madrid, to face each other for the first time. UD Almeria, Valencia CF and Saudi Future Falcons “Green” and “White” traveled to La Ciudad del Fútbol to fight for the coveted pass to the final phase of the tournament.
In the morning, the Saudi Future Falcons “Green” went down to the field ready to face UD Almeria. The match, which started with intensity and a very fast technical game on both sides, was decided in the 31st minute for the Saudi team, with a goal by Meshari Almashhari. Despite the efforts of the Almeria players to reverse the result, a goal by Luay Aljohani in the 79th minute sealed the victory for the Saudi Future Falcons “Green”, with a result of 2-0.
In the afternoon, the intensity was not going to drop. Valencia CF and Saudi Future Falcons “White” took to the pitch charged up and prepared for what would turn out to be a very close encounter. Despite the effort, sweat and dedication of all 22 players during the match, both teams showed a surprisingly high and equal level. In addition, luck was not in favor of anyone and, after several unrealized chances, the score reached 90 minutes and the referee blew the final whistle with the scoreboard indicating a 0-0, giving 1 point to each of the teams.
In this way, the Saudi Future Falcons “Green” team is positioned at the top of group “D” of AL ABTAL INTERNATIONAL CUP.
