The group stage of AL ABTAL INTERNATIONAL CUP has faced this Wednesday the four teams of group A. FC Barcelona and UE Cornellà travelled to the Complex Esportiu Salou to face the Saudi Future Falcons “Green” and “White”.

The Saudi Future Falcons “Green” played against FC Barcelona in the morning in a match in which, despite being hard-fought by both sides, the blue and red team achieved a well-sought victory. Luck was not on the side of the Saudi team that failed to materialize their scoring chances and the scoreboard closed the 90 minutes of the match with a 1-4, with a Rayan Mansour S Alhassan goal for the Saudi Future Falcons “Green” and goals from Brian Peña, Damian Canedo, Luzzi Rangel and Fermín López for FC Barcelona.

In the evening, UE Cornellà faced the Saudi Future Falcons “White”. Tension, rivalry, and excitement described a match in which both sides fought until the last minute. The Falcons “White” opened the scoring in the first minute of the match with a goal by Osamah Mubaireek. But it would not be until the end of the first half that the Cornellà side would equalize the score with a goal by Albert Pardilla. Three minutes later, a penalty goal by Hussain Muyini gave the Saudi team a lead that would not last more than a minute, with another goal by Albert Pardilla in the last minute of the first half, taking the game to halftime with a 2-2 score. Finally, and thanks to two goals from an excellent Yahya Naji, the Saudi Future Falcons “White” closed the match on a positive note, with a 2-4 result.

With these two results, FC Barcelona is positioned first in group A with Saudi Future Falcons “White” not far behind, in second place, and with UE Cornellà and Saudi Future Falcons “Green” in third and fourth place, but with a lot of desire to compete and move up in the standings.
