Real Sociedad is a Spanish soccer club based in San Sebastian, Guipuzcoa. It was founded on September 7, 1909, but its origins date back to 1904. Identified by its blue and white colors from which it receives the nickname “txuri-urdin”, it is one of the nine clubs that have been proclaimed champions of the Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División.
The clubs philosophy lies in the importance of its youth academy: Real Sociedad is the second club in the five major European leagues that gives the most prominence to players raised in Zubieta, its training center.
