Teams Rayo Majadahonda

Rayo Majadahonda

“Rayo Majadahonda is currently enjoying some of its most successful years ever. The club was founded in 1976 and, since then, bar two isolated seasons in the Second División B, it has always played in the regional Third Division. However, in the last five years, not only has the team consolidated its position in the Second División B, but it has also played a season in the Second Division A (2018-2019). Therefore, this a young team that’s on its way up.

One of the secrets of Rayo Majadahonda’s success lies in the way it looks after its young talent. Its youth team plays in Spain’s top-level under 18s league, the Division de Honor, where its rivals giants such as Real Madrid and Atelético de Madrid. In the Al Abtal international Cup, we’ll be able to see some of this young talent in action before they move up to play in the first team of this Madrid-based club.”
