Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona

The Nou Estadi, home ground of the Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona football club (commonly referred to as Nàstic) will host the final of the first AL ABTAL INTERNATIONAL CUP. The team’s participation in the tournament is, therefore, of particular interest. The sports club was founded in 1886 and has had a football team since 1914. It currently plays in the Spanish Second Division B but has already played several seasons in the First and Second Division A this century. The core of the Nàstic first team is usually made up of players from its youth squad, and its youth team is one of the most prominent in the División de Honor league, where for eleven consecutive seasons it has competed against the best teams from Catalonia, Aragon and the Balearic Islands. In this tournament, the team’s young players will have a fantastic opportunity to showcase the bright future that lies ahead of them.
