Quality, determination and talent are some of the adjectives that describe the final of the first edition of the tournament, which took place on April 7 at the Nou Estadi of Tarragona.

The decision to choose the best player of the final was not easy, as the players of both teams showed that they have a bright future ahead of them with outstanding actions of great technical and tactical level.

In the end, the award went to Martín Tejón, Valencia CF’s 10th player, who contributed to his team’s comeback with his quality, vision and good performance. Valencia ended up lifting the trophy as the winner of the first edition of AL ABTAL INTERNATIONAL CUP after beating Atlético de Madrid 2-1 in a hard-fought final.

During the closing ceremony, Hisham Tashkandy, SSDFT’s project director, presented him with the award for best player of the final.
